Internship at Collision Studios

September, October, November and December 2005

In autumn 2005 I did a four month internship at Collision Studios in Hannover, Germany. I worked there as a 3D artist, creating game-models in MAYA and texturing them in Photoshop. I made a diffuse-, specular- and normal-map for most of these models. Looking back, I can really see how much my skill with especially these high-tech techniques improved. I had not used MAYA too much before, so getting up to speed with something else than 3D Studio MAX was the other challenge I faced. I also learned and used some MEL-scripting during my internship. Ow, and of course I had to practice my skills at talking German as well... All the models I made were for Collision Studio's 3D-shooter "Red Ocean", published by DTP.
